Oconee County, SC is known for its Waterfalls, Rivers, and Lakes but there is also local small town charm in Walhalla, Westminster, and Seneca. Don’t miss the festivals, live music, and history museums when you’re there!
While I had visited Oconee County, SC a few times before, it wasn’t until last year’s STE Travel Writer’s Conference that I really got to see the area. Definitely one of the most stunning parts of South Carolina. Beautiful waterfalls (many of which are just short walks from where you park), great small towns and plenty of places to please your tastebuds. While I was there for a few days on that trip, it felt like there was still a lot to explore. Hope to be back soon.
